The Trees for Tuition Scholarship
2021 was our first year with our very own scholarship. We had the goal of raising $8,000 for the Trees for Tuition scholarship but thanks to all of you we were able to raise an astounding $13,470 for Atlanta students. $1,470 was donated to Achieve Atlantas emergency grant fund. The remaining $12,000 was awarded to six well-deserving Atlanta students. Each of these students received $2,000 to go towards their higher education in 2021. It’s more than just a tree y’all, it’s Trees for Tuition!
Tree for a Tree
We believe education at all levels is one of the most important investments a community can make in its future. Because of said education, we also believe that this place we call home, otherwise known as earth, or sometimes our environment, is pretty dang important for our future too. Thanks to you we were able to show our planet how much Atlanta cares and plant 1,750 trees in US National Parks. These forever trees will stand for years helping to make our air just a little bit cleaner. This is just one way keepin’ it real is better than being fake. Achieve Atlanta Scholarship
2020 was the first year we donated scholarship funds to an outside organization. Being student owned and operated in previous years funds have gone exclusively to student employees and owners in the past. But thanks to yβall we have grown enough to be able to make a donation of $2,775 to the Achieve Atlanta emergency grant fund in 2020. This was almost double our goal of $1,500! This fund helps keep APS students in college who financially may have had to drop out otherwise. It’s more than just a tree y’all!Β
Tree for a Tree
Another first at the Trees for Tuition! In 2020 we debuted our Tree for a Tree program. We decided that every time we sold a Christmas tree we’d plant a Forever tree for our awesome planet. In 2020 you helped us plant 450 trees in Uganda! These trees will now help areas in the region recover from deforestation for decades to come.
