A Christmas Tree Delivery Service
From Day One

Trees for Tuition was started as a Christmas tree delivery service, bringing real live Fraser Fir Christmas trees to Atlanta residents. Grady Sophomores Calder Johnson and Jack Faught started TFT in 2015 out of the back of Calder’s pickup truck. It was a way to start preparing for their upcoming college expenses, and despite TFT’s name, this doesn’t just mean Tuition. Often the bulk of college expenses are the things people don’t always consider, rent, food, gas, and yeah, even a little fun! As the seasons flew by the business grew and so did their vision.

 

Christmas Past

Soon, TFT  was able to offer other Atlanta students high-paying winter break jobs and help them save for their upcoming college expenses as well. The business opened a physical location, created its own online Christmas tree shop, supported the Achieve Atlanta Scholarship, and even planted forever trees around the globe for every Christmas tree they sold.

 

Christmas Future

Jack and Calder have been friends since the first grade (Go Rockets!) and even roomed together during college (GO DAWGS!). During these college years, the two continued balancing running a Christmas tree business with final exams and decided to take it on full time after graduating in 2021. As of 2021 Trees for Tuition started offering its very own scholarship fund and was able to award six Atlanta students with $2,000 to go towards their higher education. TFT still has a lot to learn and a lot of big plans ahead but no matter what, when you shop with Trees for Tuition it’s so much more than just a tree.
