FAQ

What kind of Christmas trees do you sell?

Well for starters we only sell real Christmas trees at Trees for Tuition. You can see why on our real Christmas tree page. We primarily sell Fraser Fir Christmas trees. They are the classic Christmas tree or the “Cadillac of Christmas trees” with the ideal shape, smell, and longevity. We also may have specialty Christmas trees from time to time such as Noble Firs or Nordman Firs from Oregon! Check out what we have on our shop page!

Where do your Christmas trees come from?

We get our trees farm fresh from our friends in North Carolina. Thanks to these awesome farmers we are able to offer premium Christmas trees at the best prices in Atlanta! You can get an idea of our prices by checking out our shop or Christmas tree pricing page!

How fresh are your Christmas trees / when were they cut?

You will enjoy fresh weekly and bi-weekly deliveries from the NC mountains when you shop with us. Our trees are cut, loaded on a refrigerated truck, and delivered to us within just a few days. Yeah, they are really really fresh. With proper care, you can expect your tree to last well past Christmas day! See how to make your Christmas tree last.

Who is the tuition for?

In 2021 we started our own scholarship fund which awarded six Atlanta students $2,000 each to go towards their college expenses. Any Atlanta student can apply for the Trees for Tuition Scholarship. You can see a full breakdown of our impact year by year on this page.

During the 2020 season, we began donating a portion of our profits to the Achieve Atlanta Scholarship fund which helps students of the Atlanta Public School system pay their college tuition. Our goal was to donate $1,500 to Achieve Atlanta but we beat that goal by donating $2,775!

How does the Trees for Tuition Scholarship work?

Any current or past Atlanta high school student who currently attends or plans to attend college after graduation is eligible to apply for our scholarship! There is no specific GPA, Income level, or field of study required to receive the award. The only requirements are that you be an Atlanta student pursuing higher education.

What is the Tree for a Tree program?

Education has been a focus at Trees for Tuition since our start. We believe a higher education for all can help provide a better future. We also believe our environment will play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy future for ourselves and our children. This is why as of the 2020 season we began our journey to help reforestation efforts around the globe and started our Tree for a Tree program. This program, using onetreeplanted.org, will plant one tree for every Christmas tree we sell. In 2020 we were able to plant 450 trees in the fight against deforestation. In 2021 we planted 1,750 more. In case you forgot this is all thanks to YOU! Learn more about this program here.
